About this Web Master:
I have
been teaching mathematics in the state of Iowa for
"many" years. The past seven years I have been in
an alternative high school program in southwestern Iowa. And over the past two years
I have been involved in our district's homebound and home
schooling programs.
Welcome to one of the fastest growing websites on home
schooling information. The intent is to give onlookers
information about home schooling and provide links to various
outlets for materials needed to be a successful home school
administrator. This web site will have an Iowa
"flavor", but the information can be a general guide for
any state. However, keep in mind that each state has its own
rules and laws as to Competent Private Instruction.
I particularly have a passion for the math part of the school
curriculum. Most home school teachers do not have the expertise to help
their students over the trouble spots, especially in the upper
level or college preparatory mathematics. Video tapes and
other resource books are helpful, but it still comes down to being
able to talk the student through the process.
One of the reasons for this website is to give home school
instructors another source from which to pull techniques and
materials.
Feel free to contact me at any time for help. If I don't
know the answer, I can find it for you. My e-mail address is
